77 DT400 leak down. was created by DaytonaBarnFind

Picked this bike up a few months ago and am finally getting around to why she won't hold pressure.  The one at 3 position vs the 11, which is plugged.. Thisbis the stator side. Do I just JB Weld this?  Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about a nub that locates the bearing insert?

That's it. 2 have apoxy or something, while the 3 o'clock has nothing and it leaks like crazy.  Tred to upload a pic, but it failed to create an attachment directory. What does that mean?

There's a banner at the top of nearly every page that announces picture posting is down right now.

(I copied a link to an old pic I posted here a long time ago, others are using a third party host)

JB Weld might work?  Clean all old sealer off good and maybe roughen surface.

Thank you all for the input on my first post. JB Weld went in last night and now I can see the intake gasket leaks. That's progress!!
