Hmm, ok thanks. In "my opinion" its the wrong shaft [or wrong case] wrong shaft i'd say. Should be able to see the splines finish & the start of the shaft for the seal to--seal. Think 360 case is wider in the cluch area for the slightly wider clutch basket than a 250, & wider at the shaft with longer shaft, so that takes me back to--[it has a 250 shaft fitted]. I might regret saying all that but happy to be corrected. I'll go & measure my DT1 case then 360 at the clutch area.

Ok i'm talking rubbish above. Both mine measure eyeballing 65mm from case to taking eyeball straight down over the cover in clutch area. So i've probably got a 250 shaft in my 360 as is very short. My 250 motor has a full kick boss engagement & can just see splines behind it. & its quite a wide kick boss.
Think i'll give up as i don't know any more & getting confused.

The shaft on my '71 RT1B extends 17mm. The '73 RT3 extends 24mm.

The shafts are different.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.
