Ok. Once again the input is appreciated. I think I am going to cut a piece of wood
to brace the inside of the bucket so it doesn't egg shape while I am pushing on it.
I sure do hope I don't crack the fresh paint on the ears. If I do, It's repaint time. I
should have paid more attention when I took it apart. D

Maybe the headlight is correctly positioned, but the gauges are out of position……

That thought crossed my mind also. A friend of mine
just came over and he pushed and I pulled and it is
back where it should be. I will sleep much better tonight

As of now, it looks like I dodged the bullet. Got the
ring installed on it and rode the 71 and 73 CT's
and the 125 Hodaka around the neighborhood
for a bit. Lovein' the 70 degree weather today!
It will be going away about Wednesday.

At least ya sorted now. Was thinking you might need to loosen the top triple clamp to lift it up a mm let the rubber washer ends go free to push it across easily. Some older models [not the bigger bikes] have the top triple clamping down on the stepped in top of the light mount so needs releasing.
