Mikuni overflow leaks was created by principal282

Fuel issues around..  I repaired petcock with a new brass 45 mm tube that was perfect. Disassembled most of carb carefully, cleaned out crud.
after a few attempts it fired immediately and ran like a champ for 10 min. Flooded out. Got er going but flooded again.

I'm out of good ideas. Was feeling good about the fix til she flooded

New vm 22?

Obvious suspect is needle valve sticking/dirty.

Also float level?  Some manuals are way off on spec.  Arms should be parallel to gasket just as valve closes.

Sorry, not related to the flooding but the jet setter with Oring looks like it 'may' not have the brass thick washer in there the hex looks like its recessing up the spout a bit more than i'd expect. Hope i'm wrong but 'is' important.

Float arms are generaly close to square on. Hook up the fuel while holding the carb upsidedown & see how much finger pressure it takes to stop it flowing--or another reason might show up doing that--although can't think what. Are the floats pins bent & floats rubbing on something. If they were bent outwards they'd get closer to the bowl sides as they rose up. Or conversely rub on the center part of the carb.
