carb problem was created by Aubs
Hi everyone. My ex USA DT3 1972 has carb.issue. After a load of sorting I thought I had finally cracked it. Has been running well for several hundred miles when petrol started poruing out of carb overflow from float bowl. Thinking needle valve sticking or perferated float I stripped carb. Could'nt find fault so assembled and problem cleared Just dont another 200 miles and the same thing again. getting pissed off now cos I still cant find problem. Any help out there. . I am thinking of changing carb as throllte now jamming open. It,s been one thing after another so I am thinking of new carb. Can't afford a Mikuni ,so is there a cheaper carb out there that will do the job. I'll even buy Chinese if I have to. Hope one of you out there can help a real frustrated biker.

Overflow issue is likely some sediment or rust from the fuel tank .
Throttle sticking issue possibly from an over tightened flange nut ,
or an O ring in the flange that has too large a cross section diameter .
Both these can warp the body enough for the slide to stick open .
Been there , done that .

If you want real frustration, then buy a Chinese carb.
