clutch ball bearing was created by Tdbecker58

I am working on my 1972 125 AT2-M and have a question about the clutch push rod and bearing.  when I disassembled it, I noticed that the little ball was missing.  I replaced it with the same size as described in the Service Manual. (1/4").   Now I cannot get the left crank case cover to close.  I've seen a lot of discussion about this assembly, but cannot figure out if I need the ball bearing or not.   This AT2-M is a tricky bike.

I have tried to adjust the push screw, but it has no impacted.  Maybe the push rod 2 is too long????

Thanks for any help!!

PS... still looking for an air box (any thing to get it raceable.)
