I suggest replacing it.

If it's for a CT-2, I have you covered for $25 and postage.

Any piece of metal bodywork can be repaired (see You Tube for how-to's)  but you are faced with a  cost/labor/materials/replacement balance analysis.  Sometimes a quick replacement can be the ticket. You've been offerred a good deal (above).

Hi - thanks!  It for a 1973 DT3 250 - I  will need to check compatability - but as I am in the UK... I suspect shipping will cost me a small fortune, let me check and I'll come back. Cheers!

For situations like that i have my brothers fix it. They are proffestional welders so what i would do if i was in your shoes is find a piece of steel thats approximently the same thickness, cut it down so it just fits inside the hole then have it welded in. Once welded in then we would grind it and probably have to add a little weld and grind some more until we get it so it looks and feels as if it was never there. We have done stuff like this in the past and it always amazes me how skill full they are with a welder and grinder.

So you'd call them virtuosi with the welders and grinders?
