Purchasing a 1971 DT1 ? was created by socal996

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at this DT1 today, from the pictures it looks pretty good, but is there anything I should pay close attention to? Asking price is $2,500.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Very nice looking bike. Looks like the baffel might be missing out of the exhaust. I would ask the seller if he has the turn signals.

One thing I've learned, don't hesitate. If it's what you want and the price is in your budget, you best jump on it. You know the old saying....
If you snooze, you lose.
I've only regretted my decision once and I've bought quite a few in the last 10 years or so.

I agree with Schu when we went to look at the CT1C doing our normal routine and told the guy we would take it about that time another guy pulled up with his trailer the seller said it was Sold he said to me I’ll give you $200 more than you paid for it

I got one way rougher and absolutely love it, out of all my bikes it’s the smoothest and nicest.  Original turn signals will cost you a couple hundred.  I paid 1500 for mine and easily put a g into it replacing seals, fork tubes rotten seat etc and am so glad I did.  I would buy it, get it running terrific and enjoy it for as long as He allows you to.

Good model & last before the reed valve.
They always do that with models--get then right for the last one--then change them.
Best color too.
