71-73 DT250, Securing Replacement Headlamp to Ring was created by Phils2888

I have purchased an aftermarket headlamp from NAPA for my 71 DT1 250.  How is everyone attaching these headlamps to the original ring?  From what I can tell, the original lamp connected with screws to a ring that attached to the lamp itself which is not listed in the parts books.  I have attached a photo. Thanks!

Looks like you'll need the springs, sort of a rough "W" shape - similar to the ones used to retain greenhouse glass.

You can also get the clips from MikesXS.com or <gasp> Yamaha dealer.

Yamaha used W clips to hold in lights on later Enduros and a lot of bikes.
