Do the RT1 and the DT1 share the same frame? In other words will a 360 engine fit in my 250 frame?

CMSNL suggests that they are the same dimensions (see attached). However, wait for confirmation from other members.

Yes drops straight in. Think very first DT1 had top rear mounts further out but still in line with spacers each side to fill the gap. In fact my Boss went over from NZ to ride the Big Bear Run or one of those in the US & while he was away i took his RT1MX motor & fitted in my early DT1 just because i liked my bike the way i had it setup to race.

Does this look super dangerous? I don’t take the bike on a track or abuse it. As you can see it’s right above the rear brake shaft/mount

Yes get it welded possibly losing control of your bike isn’t worth it. It’s only going to get worse

Whoever does the welding make sure they terminate the crack or it could keep traveling after the weld.

I’ve never heard that before. Does terminate simply mean drill a small hole at the end of the crack?
