LED Indicators was created by Pete-RT1
Just thought I'd share this in case anyone wanted to upgrade their indicator bulbs to LED on a 6 volt bike so that they can be seen.
These are on my CT1-C and they work great.
Here are links to the bulbs and flasher relay I used.
I rewired the "P" terminal to the positive of clock flasher warning light and earthed the other wire.

Thanks Pete: I was thinking of using LED sockets to secure my license plate and functioning as turn signals. If I was to lay the bike over , then I would not loose a blinker. I did not consider matching the flasher to the socket and lights. I will look into that. Much appreciated.

Great post. I have a ‘71 CT1-C also and have done a full LED bulb conversion including a LED tail light strip. However, I cannot get the 6V flasher relay to flash because the relay needs 8A and my tail light strip is less than 1W.
Do you think this relay you’ve listed would work? And could I only run it as a 2 pin?
thanks!

I think it will work with your low wattage bulbs.
I believe you could run it with just the two pins as long as you haven't got an indicator lamp on the instuments connected.
If you have the instument light connected it might allow enough current to illuminate both left and right indicators at once, hence the reason I used the "P" terminal.

Help me understand that please? I should see a neutral light with the key on but it isn’t illuminated. I also converted it to an LED bulb, and I’ve checked the switch by the front sprocket and it’s fine. Battery is solid at 6.35V.
Can you help me understand how the “P” terminal would change that or how to make that green neutral light work?
Currently with my 8W LED flasher relay the tail light strip signals light up bright when selected but will not flash.
Thanks for the response !

When I said “indicator lamp on the instruments” I was referring to the orange instrument light showing the turn signals are on. Neutral has nothing to do with it.
You’ll need to have a look at the wiring diagram, but my thought is the neutral indicator lamp has ignition live and the earth is connected to the neutral switch, I’m sure one of the experts will confirm or correct.

Original turn signal indicator pilot light reverses polarity. There are several ways to make it work with LED's but not just any LED will work.
One easy solution is to use the 3 wire flasher and run a wire from the P terminal to the pilot light.

I’m sorry Mark, I’ve looked at all my diagrams and have no idea what a P terminal is. I have a “meter” light for my high beam on the headlight bucket, that’s the pilot light correct?
Are you saying to wire the 3rd terminal of the 3 pin flasher into the pilot light? Thank you for the help!

Read Pete's post #1 of this thread.
When I mentioned one method was to use a 3 wire flasher and run an extra wire I was repeating his excellent method of converting turn signals to LED.
(Turn signals have nothing to do with neutral light or high beam indicator light)

From Pete’s post : “I rewired the "P" terminal to the positive of clock flasher warning light and earthed the other wire.”
I understand the “P” terminal is the third post on the flasher relay but I have no idea what the “clock flasher warning light” is. Is that the amber light on the tach?
If so, does that make the flasher relay an AC power source when it’s usually a DC source?
