I just finished patching a pin hole in the gas tank on my CT1, and was wondering, could the gas cap vent be blocked that would increase tank pressure? Could it be unclogged by blowing air across it?

Never had a cap apart & never had a problem if its the cap type that turns on not clips down like later models. Not sure if you can get them apart but wouldn't think it'd hurt to blow air across it but not directly in around it. I think the best way to prove a point is to fill the tank with water if not fuel & let it run into a can & see if it keeps flowing non stop. Same cap on all models fro JT1 to RT1 & inbetween models.
