1971 DT1E Clutch Lever Hard to pull. was created by GOPOPRACING
1971 DT1E 250 clutch? Has anyone used lighter clutch springs, than the standard, to make the clutch easier to pull. Trying to reduce the clutch lever pull for a young lady to ride. Thought about using PN 90501-20125-00 off an AT1C. She is not going to be racing enduro or motorcross, so clutch slip should not be a big issue. Thanks for any suggestions. Using a tennis ball to strengthen he grip is not the answer I am looking for.

Not a direct answer to your question, but in the past I've fitted dog leg levers to some of Gr8auntiepat's bikes, so that she wasn't operating the clutch with just her fingertips.

I think this was mentioned on other threads I'm pretty sure you started... most of the time a difficult clutch pull is caused by a gritty or damaged worm gear and/or clutch cable.
If you haven't thoroughly and meticulously cleaned, lubed, and/or replaced the cable and worm gear that's where you need to start.
They also make an "easy pull" clutch lever assembly... GFrench has used them on his projects.
