It might be able to be restored?  This site has gotten HUGE and things like the photo hosting kept breaking. Older threads that nobody looked at for years somehow got "archived"...  perhaps by a feature or glitch in the software?  Not sure.  From speaking to the site owner, it doesn't sound like it was done purposely.  All I know is there are nearly as many posts hidden as there are visible. 

If you can give me a clue to look for the missing thread I can see if I can find it.  If I can, I will ask if it's okay for me to restore it.  (I don't want to break the site)

This bugged me at first...  I've "lost" more posts than most people ever had.  But the reality is this place could be "snapchat".  For the most part the same questions get asked and answered over and over.  Very few people bother to search past posts.  And sometimes there have even been almost identical questions asked and answered within a couple days.
