I mean, seriously, WTF! was created by Gr8uncleal

Now, I'm very keen to encourage wildlife in my garden, but this is taking the pith (as Sir Sidney Ruff Diamond once said)!

The CT1 was only put in the greenhouse a couple of weeks ago, to make way for the GT550.

At the moment I think it's a robin's nest - silly buggers nest anywhere (including the entrance to an enclosed, wall mounted garden hose reel) apart from the nest box that we put out for them.

Critters and their nests. I had a year where Sturnus vulgaris (Starlings) insisted on nesting under the hood (bonnet) of my pickup truck. The truck does not get used daily and often sits for a week or more. I noticed Starlings flying in and out around my front tires. I popped the hood open and found sticks and stems and grass stuffed into various nooks and crannies. I pulled a bushel basket of debris out of that engine compartment. Only to find they started the whole process over again within a few days. So I informed my only nearby neighbor that he may hear gun shots over the next few days and explained my situation. My little 410 shotgun was my gun choice allowing me to take them out in flight as opposed to waiting for them to perch long enough to use my air rifle. The problem was resolved after I thinned out about a half dozen of the likely suspects. I have no use for the Sturnus vulgaris (Starlings) which I think came from your side of the pond!

And Starlings are NOT protected over here. They can be pesky for other birds too… they’ll kick out, say a robins eggs, and lay theirs and fly away… no eggs or little ones to tend too…

“Graveyard bikes” are left outside to make room for other more important projects. With that being said and done the choice was already made. Compulsory behavior leads to this.

I remember about 24 years ago working in Malibu on a very expensive home. Inside the garage was at least two Ferraris. The mice had gotten into the engine compartment and started chewing up the wires. I don’t know if the cars were covered? That was an expensive mistake.

“only you - can prevent motorcycles from becoming graveyard bikes.”

A bird nest in an open headlight bucket doesn’t make a graveyard bike.
This is more in line with a graveyard bike.
