HELP! GT80 Carb Needed was created by IMMikeMurphy

So after 2 years of parts hunting, paint, powder coat, realizing many purchased parts don't fit at all, my beloved GT80 is ALMOST ready to rock.
All I need is a carb.

Turns out the piece of Chinese crap I bought is not event close to working and fitting.
I'm scrambling to get 'er ready to bring with me to Loretta Lynns next week.

Anyone got any leads on an OEM carb or one that will work?

My buddy suggested having Lectron build one but it's $900 :-|

Thanks
Mike

Old carb beyond use? Found 60 PW80 carbs on ebay which might slide on.
look for one with a better insert than first one i saw which had quite a gap in the white insert where the ends meet.
If it's pushed fully on so it meets the seal at the end it'll be good.
Saw one with a dark colored insert instead of white plastic but couldnt get an end on shot to view. They're up there for $10 up. What Could Go Wrong--ok don't answer that.!!

Look at Treatland.  www.treatland.tv/new-puch-peugeot-motobe...moped-parts-s/88.htm

You might even try calling or emailing them as they seem to be pretty knowledgeable about the smaller bikes.  They have several quality small spigot-mount carbs,

A search here might find an alternative as a few people have had the same issue.

Here is one of the older posts...  If I remember correctly Treatland also has different mounting shims (bushings)...  you'll need to know the OD of your manifold spigot.
