Is that picture looking towards the spring or away?
Never mind, I will ask when you show up today.

Blow up the pic, I see the highway now.

Great Pics, Guys!
I have a '69 CT1 that I call my "resurrection" project. It was a shed-find, complete bike. It had been sitting for years, partially in the weather. After 3+ months of accumulating parts and lots of shop time, I got it running. I recently got the title and registration sorted and complete. Still waiting for the title doc to come in the mail.
Everything works - right down to the neutral indicator light and high beam indicator. I did use some aftermarket parts (left switch cluster, bars, shocks, etc.) I did repaint the frame, fenders, forks ears and headlight bucket, because I buffed the surface rust off and didn't want to leave the metal bare.
Anyway, it will be going up for sale soon. I won't try to make a killing on the price - I just want to recover most or all of the parts costs I incurred. I'm in NorCal. I'll start a new thread when it's ready to go, if anyone is interested...

A freezing cold Knott End opposite Fleetwood ferry terminal.
Bike runs really well now just a shame no one around and everything closed.

Well today I put the new tube in the worn out rear tire and took it for its first ride in 20 years. It runs good, but the clutch slips a bit. Not too bad, so I might be able to simply make some adjustments. Everything measured out good when I had the clutch apart. It’s smoking so much because I have premix in the tank and the oil pump hooked up. I am sooo glad it runs thru the gears with no issues. I saved another one and kept it under my $1,000 limit.

I have to give a shout out to a new Buddy in my neighborhood.
Back story : Super Dave and I were leaving for the Biltwell 100 desert race and needed to stop for ice at the local, " Smart and Finals" ( a grocery store. )
We had parked our truck and trailer next to a guy with the same set up. I asked where he was going to ride and his reply was Ridgecrest.
I said, " oh, the Biltwell !?! " He said Yes with a big smile and need ice too that his gal was getting now.
Inside the store I saw her in the check out line with a bunch of bundles of wood and ice.
I blurted out Have fun at the Biltwell race and we will see you there! Another big smile !!
We saw them out there and talked. It was their 2nd year like us at that race.
And apparently John kicks butt on his Yamaha !!
Without further ado.. John Nock # 85. Second place in the Vintage Dual Shock Experts class.
they're both good friends now
