I have the limited edition white tank 68 DT1 kit they released several years ago... someday I'll try to assemble it. Closest I'll ever get to owning a 68!

I got so inspired by this. I get the bug to build a model once in a while. I had a '69 AT1 that I pulled out of a creek when I was kid. My brother and my dad helped me get it going. I rode that bike to HS and just about everywhere. My friend had a Kawasaki 100 enduro. We were hell on wheels! Traded it for a '62 Honda 90. Sold that years later..

I have about 15-20 Tamiya motorcycle models that I bought back in the late 80's when I was stationed in Iwakuni Japan. I've never built them. I was waiting until I had the room to display them. We moved into a new house 4 months ago and am getting ready to buy a hobby table so I can have a space to build. I'll have to dig the boxes out of storage and take a couple pics. I know most of them are road racer bikes and some early adventure.

As a kid back in the 70's I won a citywide model contest in El Paso, TX. The Suzuki shop put on the contest and you had to use a model of a Suzuki. I built a RM400 desert bike that had working suspension and a custom expansion chamber that wrapped around the engine and exited in front of the skid plate (I think they were called snail pipes). Still have the trophy. They kept the model.
