Tachometer driven Gear 79 175F was created by Deserttime72
Hello, any advise would be greatly appreciated. Im installing the missing tachometer driven gear, washer, seal and o-ring. Per the partzilla picture, the order of assembly does not make sense. When I bought the bike 2 months ago there was a cork in place of the tachometer cable. I have all the parts to reassemble just need some help. See partzillas picture/attachment. Thanks Deserttime72

First, make sure you have a DT cover and not an MX cover... MX had black rubber cork and no bushing in bottom of hole.
Parts diagrams are very often drawn incorrectly... they are not assembly diagrams.
If I remember correctly, washer and gear are held in by seal. O-ring goes around tach cable fitting that gets pushed into case and retained by crosshead screw.

Thank you, that makes sense the case has the bushing #4 in picture, didnt think of o-ring going on the tach cable. Thank you Desesrttime72 in Az.
