DT250 piston port to reed valve year?? was created by Zeph

Ok, time for me to ask probably a dumb question. What year did the DT250's go from Piston port to reed valve induction? I have what I believe is a 73, but with Reeds. I was thinking the reeds didn't start till 74? Thanks guys, I love this site

"72 DT2 & RT2 & AT2 & CT2 & RD250/350 & so it goes on. "72 for everything Yamaha we could buy. Maybe a year earlier for works experimental stuff. Cheers.

You have a DT2 (1972) and that was the first year for reeds.
1978 DT400E
1976 DT400C
1973 RT3
1971 RT1B
1968 DT1 (3)
