Welcome to you from the U.K. (Suffolk). That is one beautiful looking 'resto' so keep it going if it's not finished yet. From experience I've found projects often require 80% of their overall effort to achieve the final 20% of completion. Andy

Hey all, thanks for the nice welcome. Almost done. Just a few cable connection and she can hit the road again. Did the wiring all new and with 12 V. Ignition and generator has been stolen from a GY6 125cc scooter. Cone ist the same, just the stator base plate has been adapted. That is the best and cheapest solution to get rid of the 6V system.

Hallo Peter und welcome to the forum (from Anaheim California). You will find lots of great information here. I owned a RT2 for many fun years.
Actually, my wife and I will be in Deutschland soon. We will be in Munchen, Regensburg, Nuremberg, und Dresden. We want to visit all the Christmas Markets.

Hey DVM, if you come across the Hannover area, don`t miss Hameln. They have the nicest christmas market I ve erver seen.
Next week I will have the date with the German officials
TÜV will check technical correctness and Zulasssung will proof that the old bike was not stolen or is still the bike of somebody else (wichwouldbeanightmare). Question: In Germany the RT 3 was delivered with reduced horspower (15KW) does anybody know, how Yahama realized the reduction? I want to have my papaers with 32HP and need to proof the the reduction ist not in the bike....
THX
Peter
BTW, here is the full story:

Afternoon Peter.
I'm surprised that Yamaha deemed it worthwhile producing a 360 with only 15KW of power, but there we go.
Back to your question, my suggestion would be restrictions in the exhaust. I'm not sure that Euro versions of these bikes have spark arrestors in the exhaust, so Yamaha are already used to providing market specific ones.
Another possibility is the air intake side, or maybe even the carburetor.
If you can, maybe try to find a parts manual for a Euro model and see what the differences are between the US and Euro models.
