Hi all was created by DonTeeAus

Hi there,
I'm from the sunny country that most of the world erroneously thinks is 'down under', but from where I sit it's the top of the world.
My first bike was in about 1975, a dt250a. It's been and gone but i currently own, amongst a few others, a dt2. There was an IT175J and a DT200R along the way too.
I do a bit of riding with various historic bike clubs with rides varying from cross country trail rides from weekend camp sites to road rallies, some are restricted to sub 250cc 'tiddlers'.

Rather remarkably, three mates from our little Wiltshire village emigrated to Oz (I don't think that it was anything I said or did!

). One liked his bikes (he had an AT3, although I'm pretty sure that it was marketed as a DT125 over here) and the other two liked their cricket.

Once you have made three posts you can upload pictures via a third party hosting site.

Various documents in the Tech Library on this site should prove useful, although most parts lists are for US market bikes.

It was one of my favourites, sadly I gave in to an older friend who pleaded with me to sell it  to him as it was a matter of life and death that he got one. He then sold it after about 6 mths, but give him some leeway he didn't usually hold on to bike for more than about 3 months usually.

You may already be aware , but the electrical wiring on these old bikes was different in the US market
and the Oceania market . Government requirements were different for vehicle lighting .
Most of the information here relates to US market . If you purchase a Service manual with a wiring
diagram , you are best to source that from Australia .

USA wiring had to be changed in 1970 to meet the requirement that the taillight stay on even if engine quits.

Very good chance the 68-69 US DT1 wiring diagram will work for the 68-73 Australian models.
