No idea re answers to your questions, but just thought I'd say that Gr8auntiepat is currently spending a few nights in Switzerland. She is staying on the edge of Lake Geneva, but travelling over the lake to watch the girlie golf at Evian.

A week of peace and quiet for me, albeit with a very limited menu!

Just re-thinking the de-compressor valve. yours being a 400 will have the larger valve & larger hole into the cylinder & down to the exhaust outlet. But i'm sure you can see what its original size should be even if it's partially carbon restricted.

Many people have previously has issues with 400's low speed fueling .
Most have improved things , if not completely eliminated them by going up a size on the pilot jet .

Bit late to say welcome but maybe i have.
Got a messenger phone call from my sister in Switzerland this morning after traveling there from Milan. I'm in NZ, so it's a small world on the internet nowdays.
She's mid 70's--& i'm older haha. Trying not to dwell on that.
Anyway, welcome but just going through your links to copy & paste but they come up URL signature required.
It's not a problem but wondered if i'm doing it right, that's all. Cheers.
