Does comp feel possitive on the kick start of soft.
If its way too low a drill could still spin it fast enough to get going if its got 'some' comp.
75psi sound a bit down but i'd think itd still kick ok.
If its too low it'll show as struggling to idle possitively & just try to fade out if you don't keep throttling it up.
Miss my IT200, was a great bike, albeit a free rat bike i got for the 43mm forks then decided to get it going & ran strong.

The compression is 120 Psi . Rechecked after changing the crank seals. It idles well. has kick started occasionally when hot.

I got it to kick start yesterday and today. Much easier when hot.

For the choke to work when cold starting, the throttle needs to be closed, not flicking it open & closed while kicking.
When it starts then leave throttle closed while it catches its breath & settles.
Then you can rev it & close the choke.
When hot you likely will need to open the throttle fairly wide & kick but don't use the choke. Mind you that's providing everything else is good like crank seals etc.
Also the choke jet in the carb bowl can become blocked which will stop fuel flowing & only add air from the choke which would make a bad situation even worse.

RT325, earlier posts say "new carb" (but with debris in it that was causing flooding) and with a 35 pilot instead of the 55 in the original carb...  35 is significantly smaller than 55 as you know and could be the whole issue?  It also has a much smaller main (irrelevant for starting) A few suggestions have been made about the starter jet, etc (thread was started a few months ago), not sure any have been tried?     Hopefully it will get figured out soon

Thanks Mark, appreciate being bought up to date [pulled into line as such lol] because i tend to just look at the update post without looking further back.
Agree with your thoughts & endorse them on the subject.
Keep up the good work & good ideas.

To OP Ross, best update the jetting & try again. Should start from cold easily with choke, & no choke when hot.
