Rear hub spacer orientation was created by AirborneSilva

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to put new bearings in the hub so I can attempt to lace and true the rim but when I removed the old bearings I didn't see how the hub spacer and flange were orientated, it just fell out into the bucket I was using to keep the hub off the ground.  the spacer has a hole in the middle with the flange to one side of the hole (hopefully that all makes sense), here's the page on Partzilla that shows the parts, they are 12, 13 on the diagram.  Thanks guys!

Fear not. It does not matter. However I always knock out the bearings from the chain side first and orientate the flange away from me to give the best area of spacer to tap on.

On some bikes it does matter, the hub "tube" is bellied inwards not a straight forward parallel sided tube.  Think it may be some hondas that do that.

Another reason the orientation is of little consequence: the purpose of that tube is for ease of alignment for the installation of the axle...
