New Project was created by LongStride

Anyone have experience with using a '79 DT 175 engine in a '76 chassis, expansion chamber  clearance at the fuel tank might get weird, had the bike but no engine for 10 years or better, decided to try this spare '79 engine I have, one of my favorite chassis combined with my favorite engines, think I'm building my dream bike, hope so,  maybe a nightmare IDK
no luck with pic

Engine should bolt right in...  Probably would need to use the 76 exhaust?

(you need to post pics on a 3rd party photo site like Imgur or google photos and link them here)

Thanks for the reply, it does have the same engine mounts, I have it in the frame now doing a mock up , checking clearances and all, was looking at a pipe for the 76 on e bay ,  have a 79 pipe on it now, it fits ok except the tank hits , will look into linking a photo

Looks like you have a 1975 DT175 frame there.

Pipe is a tight fit!

If I have a pipe, it must be in storage. I will try to get over there in the next few days.
