77-78 250/400 Exhaust Pipes - Are They the Same ?

I wonder if "Big Boy" is the same one that is also known as Big One. I have a Big One chamber on my 1978 DT175,the pipe itself was made in Italy.

it is much like the pipe you got on your DT250.

BigDog302,

Check out this video of a 175 as it goes through the gears.

Big One Pipe and some other goodies.

I'm simply BLOWN AWAY with the acceleration of it.

Insanely Quick 175

Lowranger, that is my bike. :ROFLOL here is a updated picture of it. thanks for the compliment! Props goes to Enduronut who set me up with the top end on it. he had a big hand in this bike when it was a project. it started off as someone else's parts bike. that video was made when it had the stock 24 mm carb on it,it now has a 26 mm carb. it will give either my stock DT400B or the RT1B a run for it's money up to 60 mph or so.

I SWEAR that I did not know that...I never looked at the name of the videographer..(Bigdog302V8)

I had a 1972 CT2 and it was quick but your 175 would probably outquick my 400E.

I'd like to find one and give it the Enduronut Treatment.

I have the benefit of an AT1 that has been converted to an Enduronut ported 175 top end. It also has a nice 26mm carb he acquired for me.

I am currently running a Torque Engineering pipe, as well as a Uni-Filter. The bike RIPS!!! However, it is going under the knife shortly to upgrade to the PowerDynamo 12 volt CDI ignition and one of those nifty spun aluminum air filters plus . . . .

. . . wait for it . . .

Don't know yet.

It's coming from the U.K. and I won't see it for 2 or 3 weeks.

I've got high hopes but I'm a little worried because it is a pipe made for the DT250, not the 400.

Yamaha has different part #s for the 250 & 400.

I have gotten away with running a DT250A pipe on a 1975 DT400,the pipes have a different part number but it caused no adverse effects at all.
