Battery Wiring? was created by Jordino

Hi all, I recently acquired what I believe is a 1973 CT3 175. The previous owner said he had it running last year, so it seems to be mostly complete. I was trying to figure out the battery wiring, but this is my first motorcycle and I’m completely unfamiliar with bikes. I hooked up the positive to the red male connector in the front, but got no electrical response (like the horn). Is that the correct battery connector? There’s also two more green and white female connectors near the rear fender. I didn’t try to start it, as I didn’t want to fry anything.

I also notice there’s a green wire hanging underneath, which is a bit concerning.
