DT2MX flywheel puller was created by thumperstew
What flywheel puller for the 72 DT2-MX internal rotor flywheel. This is the one year setup-internal rotor with point/ not CDI. Appears to use an M18x1.5 puller but ebay listings don't show compatibility with this bike. Searching the puller shown in Yamaha tools book, page 6, Ref. No 3, part # 908-90011-08-00 gives nothing.
I'll make one from boring out an M18 old axle and welding a handle if needed. Thanks.

Let me check on the puller. I'm pretty sure I have a brand new set of Yamaha points for that ignition.

I can't identify the puller. I think I have one someplace, I'll keep looking. Making one is a good option. I have a couple I've made over the years on my mini-lathe. I used to run a truck shop so there were always large bolts made from high quality steel lying around I'd cut and thread to fit.

Hey Mark, found it, in my DT1 tote. K&N T99. Worked perfectly. Googled it and someone in Ontario, Ca is selling five, one used/four new. Thanks for checking.

Good old internal rotor points ignition. Mine never failed on my DT2MX. Had one on my CR250M Elsinore too.
