I don't think the paintless repair would muck up the inside of your tank as long as it wasn't already coated. A good inside is a plus. Call a local car dealer you like and see when/if they have a traveling paintless repair guy. Find out when he will be there and go get a free estimate. If it is too expensive, go to plan B.

Hi, I found this post researching the same thing on tank interchangeability, I just picked up a 1969 L5T with no tank. Do you know if the smaller framed bikes listed have interchangeable tanks? I understand they are different shapes and will sit differently with the different seat configurations but are the mounting points the same? Thanks for your help!
