I have a few very nice condition Tank badges and was thinking about trying to restore them doesn’t seem too difficult, but I’d rather pay somebody that has done it and had success anybody out there doing that and that people recommend thank you so very much

I would consider just getting some of the replacement badges that are available. The repops are extremely nice and inexpensive.

I hesitate to give advice on your unknown badges. Since you did not mention the make model and year of the badges you want to restore, it’s unknown if they are metal, plastic, clear, opaque, three-dimensional, decals…
But if they are DT1/AT1/C1/RT1/HT1/JT1…. Devin Sigle at legends-yamaha-enduros.com makes the best reproductions. 
And they are very inexpensive.
I have restored those type of badges before, but they never look as good as a new one. And now that I think about it, I’ve never seen anyone restore one of the badges to where they look as good as a new one. 

Devin also makes badges for other models. So if the badge you were looking for is for a model that I did not mention, there’s a chance that he has a reproduction for that one.
 

Thanks. I appreciate your help. I have the aftermarket ones in stock. They look very good unless you’re a picky SOB like myself(I’ve been restoring cars for the last 40 years/shown at Pebble Beach) so original I will go to great lanes to use. I’ve kind of gotta figure out how I would paint them. I was trying to figure out the best way to get the paint off 99% of it off, but the last one percent I don’t wanna scratch it screw it up thanks again for your input.

I'll be giving a pair of CT1 badges some attention in the near future, I'll post how they turn out.
