This board is a fantastic resource and all who answer and educate are great! Thank you all!
Now, for my next odd question. I have a 1971 HT-1 but I'm not sure what model it is. I understand there were different models built... perhaps the HT-1, the HT-1B and the HT-1BM. If this is not correct, I apologize and I was mis-informed. I would like to learn the differences between the various models and how I might identify which I own. Can the specific model be identified by the serial number?
As always, anyone willing to share their knowledge to educate me is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Per the below (Which can be found in the Tech Library), a ‘71 would be an HT1B or HT1MX if it’s an MX version. Check your VIN # which is stamped on the steering tube and on the crankcase and match the # to the chart... this will tell you exactly what you’ve got.
2 - ‘68 DT1
‘70 RT1
‘70 CT1-B
2 - ‘70 HT-1’s
‘12 Triumph Scrambler

Thanks for this information. Being new, I never thought to check the Tech Library. Now I know I have the 1B, especially due to the purple color. The MX bike is understandably different likely lacking lights, but what are the differences between the 1 and 1B? Which, if either, came with turn flashers?
Thanks!
Thanks!

1970 HT1 US model did not have turn signals. Overseas model did.
1971 HT1B US model had signals.
