Fork tube hard re-chroming was created by Solid Lifters

Several years ago someone on here recommended a company that would hard chrome fork tubes.  I set a pair and they were excellent.  I've got several more now and would like to get them done but can't find any information on where I sent the others.

This is from an old post.  There were others but mostly in the UK if I remember right.

I used Economy Plating for some "decorative" chrome.

I won't make that mistake again.

Just to be clear, I have no experience with Economy Plating. It's just something I copied down that someone recommended for forks.

Not all older threads can be found, I did find this one.  yamaha-enduros.com/index.php/forums/part...ard-chroming?start=0

Sounds like they used to do a good job.

Where are you located?
I made excellent experience with this company in Germany. wissinghartchrom.de/
Had very deep rust scars. They grinded and added 0.2mm of chrom, what is a lot, according to them.

It appears that Economy Plating is no longer in business. Looking for plan B.

I have bought the reproduction fork tubes made by Dachi and have been pleased with them. Although I had to do a little bit of filing and sanding of the internal parts to get them to fit. Sometimes they are out of stock.  www.dcvmx.com/xcart/home.php?cat=1074&page=1
I use Metro Plating in Kensington, Maryland for rechroming fender brackets, wheels and exhaust shields. Excellent work. metroplating.com/
