DT175 to DT400. What is considered the better models and the not so good ones. Power to weight, easy starting, parts availability and such. Thinking the DT 250 but haven’t seen many.

Depends on what you want to do.  Highway or Freeway riding?  Get a modern bike.

DT175 is the most fun in my opinion and the easiest by far to get parts...  especially engine parts...  Power to weight is as good or better than DT250.

Very capable bikes.  175's are light and fun.

I would like it to go 45ish mph without blowing up so I can get to my riding area.

WOW those bike sure took a beating. I have an 81 175 but don't think I'd ever punish it like that, living here in Florida I guess there's no chance anyway...

I have them all and I completely agree with Mark.  The 175s are by far my favorites.

I believe Dick Mann said that the Yamaha 175 was the best Enduro ever made. I think he may have said it to a forum member.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

Well it is the easiest one to find. There’s one about 30 minutes from me. Thanks

I need to explore a 175
without getting too personal, can I get the weight of the riders who think the 175 is optimal?  I am not doubting, I am trying to reconcile my 240 lbs and feeling that I need 360 and 400!

I love 175s and for me it's 1 lb per cc.

I weigh the same as I did when I owned a Kawasaki 175 in 1973.
