1970 RT 1 360 SEAT was created by kitkatman
Hi, Everyone, I bought a 1970 rt1 360 and a 1971 dt2 250 a while ago and I am looking for seats for both bikes. As far as I can figure by swapping them around they are the same, would I be correct ???. I have been looking at the KDI reproductions from long beach California site and am impressed by what I see. Has anyone had any dealings with them and can vouch for them. Im in the UK so I would like to know more before I send my money. Any help would be gratefully received. Alan.

KDI 100% solid. I've purchased many items, including seat foam, seat covers, cables and various rubber bits. Great quality!

I purchased a seat cover for my 1971 RT1B from KDI. They are wonderful and easy to work with. I also purchased all new cables from them .....all perfect. You can't go wrong with them.

I bought a complete seat kit from several vendors for my 71 RT1-B and the KDI kit matched the closest to the original. FYI their grips for the same bikes are best available and for only $30 pair. I bought a pair of repop grips from about every vendor on Ebay as well as paid a couple hundred for an NOS Yamaha pair. The KDI grips are truly identical to the NOS Yamaha ones. Good luck.

I ordered a seat from KDI last week. If you don't hear anything back from them in a couple days, e-mail Them. He stated that my order "Fell between the cracks". I'm excited to get my kit in and get it installed.
I do have one question. I found a couple small cracks in the seat pan. Whats the best way to fix them?

Call him to order first,
Text him is best for quicker response on an already placed order.
He is working on quicker response time to ship,
Alan, I told him you may be ordering soon.

RT3Sam...Good thing you spotted the seat pan cracks now. Many of them crack. Carefully remove the seat foam, unless you've ordered new foam and it's already removed. Weld up the cracks from the backside before your new foam goes on. I use a small mig welder on the lowest setting. That metal is thin!
