Can anyone help and tell what this DT1C part is for and where it goes?

I sent my 1970 DT1C cases out to be polished and when they returned, there was a small metal bush inside a small plastic bag with the polished parts. The bush measures: 19.87mm L x 9.97mm OD x 6.67mm ID. I have trawled through my DT1 parts list and for the life of me, I can't find where this part belongs. It is not one of the cover dowel pins which are larger in size. Can anyone help ID this part for me? Thanks

Clutch cover dowel of which there's two. One up kick end about halfway up & other [not sure] think low down along the bottom edge. They're quite thick to support the kick starting motion/pressure & take pressure off the screws.
My guess anyway without measuring mine.

Hmm, ok thanks--i'm lost. You didn't send the center cases in.
Maybe was left behind by the previous customer. Can see how far it fits in to a case or cover by the marks.

Did you send just the covers or did you send the center cases too?

(I can't think of what it is, but that info might help someone.)

I just sent the outer cases into get polished and not the center cases. The dia is too small compared to the other dowel pins, however I'll recheck again tomorrow. I have checked all the parts drwg's to see if there is a bush like this, however no luck. Maybe its a bush from other set of cases belonging to one of their other customers that got mixed up with my parts?

Yes, they may have found a part lying around and didn't know where it came from.

Have a look at where the oil pump shaft goes through the case.

Good thought but the oil pump one is a sort of cast fat looking bush. i might have to eat my words on that.
That's strange that last sentence didn't load because i bracketed it.
