Anybody got a substitute for the banjo bolt gaskets on the oil tank for the early bikes, specifically my AT1C? Yamaha part # 90430-10029-00 looks to be unavailable.
I tried Ace Hardware fiber washers and rubber washers cut to size, but the drip continues.

Thanks Bill!
Found one on ebay for $4 shipped, and one of my originals might still be ok. If not, I'll go that route for the 2nd one.

Good for you! When it comes to $10 shipping on a $2 part I start looking for options too.

All, I need to resurrect this thread. This gasket (90430-10029-00) has become very tough to find. I bought a couple of the last ones that Yamaha made and they were completely useless, leaked like a sieve. As we all know Northwest is gone, and no one else shows them. I have tried a couple of other gaskets and none work, they have to be a hard rubber and the last ones I got from Yamaha almost looked like fiber.

I have tried red fiber, crush aluminum, copper and a combo aluminum with rubber insert with no luck . I know someone has a solution and I need it!!!

Try DEET... or maybe someplace like McMaster Carr.

Is there nothing close at a local hardware store that will work? I am going to try Ace Hardware as I need to replace the same washers on my CT1 oil tank banjo bolt.

This is a really old thread... pretty sure there have been other threads on this topic with solutions? DEET and mdscott come to mind... as did someone finding them at McMaster Carr.

I'll see if search comes up with something.

For the past couple years I have been using a red poly-fiber washer that comes in this assortment from Harbor Freight, I've used it on at least a dozen leaky tank/banjo bolt fittings so far and have experienced 100% success rate. Size appears exactly the same as the black original ones.
