I'm sure i've seen enduro bikes with a chain from the lever end to the frame near the front.
May not work with the big step around the generator cover though.
& got to be loose enough for up & down lever movement.
Could set the lever higher like trials bikes do but makes it unconfortable for changing gear as have to lift foot off the pegs.
Fit bigger wheels--maybe not lol.

My first 175 Kawasaki F7 had the chain on the shifter. I thought it was cool. That rotary valve 175 was fast. Used to piss off my buddy on his CT3. Until we got into the rough terrain and my tail end would start wagging. lol

Thanks RT325 .
That could be an option.
I have (Well... Pete_rt1) did bend it back in place for me !... but would rather have a spare with me for our next TET ride in June !..
So if any one has a spare one (UK) I would be interested !.

Afternoon Bernard.
Assuming you still have family in France who can buy and then ship to you, or maybe even a French mobile number, then check out the French website leboncoin.
I had a brief look myself and there is a new one listed there, although it is too many ££££££ for my wallet! A shame, as I've seen lots of bargains for other models on there. In fact, I bought a tank for my RD125A from that site - the admin chap for the Aircooledrd club lives in France, so he bought it on my behalf and forwarded it onto me.
CMSNL shows the AS2 and CS3 as using the same part, so maybe search under these as well.
