Pete's AT1-E was created by Pete-RT1

Had a nice little test ride today on the AT1-E.
Last weekend I replaced the chain and front sprocket and got lucky with the wheel sprocket.
Looks like the PO added the Mahoooosive outer sprocket early on in the bike's life as the original 45 tooth sprocket has no signs of wear.
It does have three extra holes drilled in it to hold some brackets it had fitted.
I'm trying to keep the bike as original as possible, so very happy to have a genuine sprocket on the bike.
Replaced the brake shoes of course and since I had a set, I replaced the wheel bearings whilst I was at it, although the originals felt fine.
Still haven't sourced a tank that I'm happy with, shipping and taxes from the US are a bit prohibitive, but I'm ruling nothing out and I'm not in a rush.
Bike rides well and is keen once you get the revs up.
Whizzed up to 55mph, but since the tyres appear to be original and I'm going to leave them on, I decided that was quick enough for today.

Wow! That's a massive sprocket!

I'd be careful with those original tires though. I didn't see any cracks in the original tires on my CT-1 until I removed them. This is the front tire. I'm not sure if the crack was already there, but not visible when mounted and inflated, or if it happened when I removed it. The rubber is very hard, compared to the new ones in installed.

Good news, today, a mere sixteen days after filling out the V55 and other docs a V5 registration document arrived for the AT1-E.
No inspection this time, in fact of the half dozen I've registered only the DT175MX was inspected.
Classic number plate (or air brake as our US cousins joke) on order.
Better get the correct fuel tank sorted.
