Wanted AT1-E Gas Tank was created by Pete-RT1
Looking for a tidy gas tank for my latest acquisition, a lovely AT1-E.
Bike looks to be in pretty good original condition, just needs the correct tank.
I don't mind a few age related marks and I have a set of reproduction badges in stock already.
There's one listed on ebay UK, but it's too rough and a couple on ebay US, but they seem quite expensive with the carriage for the condition they are in.
Forgot to say I'm in the UK
Here's the bike

Watch that Bernard doesn't half inch your gear lever!

Presumably you'll get decent money for that CT3 (?) tank.

What year/color AT1 tank are you looking for? White, yellow, red?

'69 Mark, Pearl White.
"Watch that Bernard doesn't half inch your gear lever!"
Alan, I'd had a similar thought about Bernie's tank

There is a decent looking white one currently on eBay. Please but it before I surrender and get it myself!

Another good result with DK Motors, they are a good bunch.
Having originally sold me the AT1-E for a discounted price, they have also sold me the correct carb and a CT1-C tank, which does look rough, the inside of the tank has surface rust but it isn't bad at all and is very solid.
Plenty of dents to deal with, but nothing I can't deal with.
Enduronut did offer me a good deal on a beautiful tank, but by the time I'd paid the shipping, duty and tax it was nearly double the selling price, so I'm going down the path of refurbishing this one.
Managed to get a few hours into it today and got a couple of tricky dents out.
