Rex's have been manufacturing in the UK for 10 years and our systems have become market leading. We have not reduced our build quality with our newest ignition the “TY175- Junior” .

The Junior version of our TY175 ignition uses a very simple single source coil to give an effective modern up-grade for ageing points systems. Our ignition brings all the advantages of self generating electronic ignition at a no-nonsense price.

The system is basic and straight forward, it is adjustable so you can set it to what ignition advance you prefer. We are aware some riders like certain advances; 24, 26, or 28 degrees, our ignition lets you choose. However if you aren’t sure what is best our advice is simple; centralise the stator retaining bolts in the slots, check the motor starts without kick back and that the bike rolls forward smoothly just off throttle. That is all that is needed for most riders. Those who want to use a timing light to set the advance to a specific figure can mark the flywheel and set the timing in the traditional way. We leave this up to the rider as a matter of preference.

I was hoping to see if anybody had purchased one of your TY Ignition systems so I could see how it performed. I finally gave my TY a massive upgrade this year that was a long time coming. I had already done the frame modifications and expansion chamber foot pegs quite a few years ago. The old girl is now sporting a new top end that has been modified extensively with the bigger TY250 reed cage and high compression head. Also an OKO 26mm carburetor, hand built straight high flow air box. I also have the TY off-road lowered foot pegs, the only thing left is a nice electronic ignition to bring the upgrade together. I did order your Pro Clubman Ignition for my 175, the extra power curve switch peeked my curiosity and am hoping it will perform like the ignition I purchased from you for my 76’ 400YZ. I would love to hear from anybody who has purchased your Pro Clubman system.

Received my ignition from Rex’s. Was very surprised it arrived much sooner then I expected. Quality is exceptional, routing of the wiring was a snap and fit well. And my frame is modified. I then put a timing light to it making sure it was firing in the correct spot. I was able to try it out the other day and must say I love, love, love this system. And the advance switch is extra cool, 175 on steroids. Darrel is a very happy camper.
