I would stay with the silver. BTW, I just saw one for sale on some site I was on for $1,700, but not licensed.

It was during surfing around. It wasn't as clean as yours. It had a high front fender and looked funky to me.

The motor was free and had spark

I just cleaned up the motor..... changed transmission and clutch oils ...

I got it running then eventually changed ignition and carb that's about it.
It was a very low hours bike...

Its impressive how well the bike cleaned up....looking back at these photos I forgot how bad the bike did look.

Only the headlight ears and bucket I added have new paint. The rest is was just cleaned and hand polished.
The nickel plating on the frame cleanup up pretty well.....it does have some "patina" spots tho.

I take that back..... I did repaint the pipe, head and cylinder.

I am really glad I was able to keep the bike "very original"...
as I always find original "unrestored" bikes to be quite interesting to look at.

Here's a few pics from awhile back...in the process of fitting a downpipe on the bike

The pipe is from a Montesa Cappra which uses the same motor.

The pipe hangs a bit too low so I haven't used it yet...the downpipe project still needs a bit more work

In the above photo I also have a steel gas tank installed that has the later style Rickman graphic.
The bike came with a fiberglass tank that is shown in the previous photos.
