Best 12v battery for enduro was created by Billy Mild

I have a 1971 Yamaha AT1 that sits most days. I need a new battery as I killed my MotoBatt AGM.

What is the recommended battery that is AGM or lithium ion?

Dont know, which 12V conversion system you have, but for VAPE, Li-Ion battery is not an option. I dont know, why, but this is written in the VAPE manual.

AGM's will just die if not maintained.

Li-Ion needs specific charging rates if near max.
They may blow if violated.

Li-Po4 is best. Forgiving, don't run-away, light.

Not sure what country you're in but have your tried Battery Mart? That's where I got my battery for my DT2, they have a local store so it made life quick and easy.

I put inline those round connectors so I can remove my battery when not being used.. Since it’s winter about 5 months a year up here.

I killed it by leaving it on the tender without the tender plugged in.

It's all about the details and sounds like something I'd do

“I killed it by leaving it on the tender without the tender plugged in.”

I never knew that would be a problem, and I have about 10 battery tenders, so I am surprised that I haven’t been caught by that issue.

A few years back when my family members asked what I wanted for Xmas I told each of them I wanted a battery tender. Did the same for my birthday that year. Now I no longer have to rotate my tenders from one machine to another!
