I couldn't agree more about this post and the civilized nature of this site.

Perhaps age has something to do with it, since many here are reliving childhood memories, or unfulfilled wishes?

I have been on BMW, MB, VW sites for my cars and the BMW are the snottiest, followed by MB...VW pretty chill.  The biggest irony IMO is most of the snotty types are pushing opinions vs. facts

I also got into another site for early Yamaha air cooled twins.  While not as snotty as MB or BMW it to has an elevated snotty level, usually coming with bogus opinions vs. actual fact.

Especially when the topic under discussion is aftermarket pistons!

I'd say it's the age of the bikes and members or something, but the Suzuki TS forum is...different. I've been consistently impressed at the quality of the members here, happy to share their wealth of knowledge even if it's the 10th time answering the same question from different people!

Apparently not, the forum I was on is for the Yamaha Tenere T700 so sadly it's not a Yamaha thing but a keyboard commando thing...
