1972 CT2 slide needle setting was created by ay18176

What is the factory setting on slide needle? It was on top slot of the needle when I’ve had it off. Just wondering if that was correct.  I’ve been working on the slide sticking problem with advice from several of you. About to put it back on the bike and thought I would ask if this was correct setting on the needle Thanks for all of the help you all have given me.

I would normally say middle notch #3 but to be on the leanest as you found it it has me wondering if the needle jet is worn & someones been counteracting 'that', which only works to a point & not a cure--cure being replacement of needle & emulsion tube. Full of joy aren't i. I'm trying to negotiate the service manual section of the forum but page comes up off set & then goes 'fatal error'. Probably a 'me' issue. Link below doesn't help, just interesting.

There were two sets of carb specs for the CT2 . If the needle fitted to your carb is different
to the spec RT 325 has provided , you may have the update . I'd expect the ID would be 314 E2 .
