If you want to get it out for next to nothing and not wait for a shipper...just take a deep socket that fits down in the hole. Take your grinder of choice and grind away at the bottom of the socket leaving those 4 tits (perpendicular to each other and centered) and your done. Ten minutes and the cost of a 3/8 drive deep socket. Obviously I made my own. :)

Think OP said he lives in a flat with limited resources currently, hence the tool. OP does it really need to come out--can you just get some oil into it from the visible gear & spin it up with the hub gear & carry on. Or is a cable broken in there, i should go read again.
