Thanks you. YES! That’s it, I’ve tried contacting but the seller is unresponsive and eBay says he is away.

Do you know the seller by any chance?

Cheers

That's a really kind offer and no doubt Flip will post a reply in due course.

For what it's worth, I reckon that this is what he needs (see below). My guess is that someone has swapped the original for the later 1974 DT360 type at some stage and this is why the valve can't be connected. The lever and holder (wire) on his bike are the original RT3 parts.

Flip, you beat me to it!

Just double check all of your other decompression valve parts first before deciding what to order!

Really enjoying this thread Flip and I just want to thank you and everyone that's given advice so far. Its been a lot of help to me with my rebuild. Keen to see how you get on with your decompression valve as I'm in a similar situation.

Check this out.

You may have to check measurements in case it's off one of the smaller capacity bikes.

Wow, I checked estimated shipping (based on your previous comment, BAKEWELL, UK) and its around USPS $36 or $105-106 FEDEX OR UPS for shipping.

I sent him a message about the part, just to see if I could get a response.

I’ve spent quite some time researching the parts Al, I’m pretty sure this is the correct valve to match the parts I have. Fingers crossed :ROFLOL

Thanks, hope the videos do help someone. It’s an enjoyable task getting this bike back up to scratch. There are some fantastic people on this forum for sure and help is never far away.

I’d be really interested to see your progress too. Do you have pics you could share?

I’ll keep you posted with the wayward valve, they do seem to be an issue generally :Ugh
