Tank Decals on ebay by "Yamatopdog"

I had trouble with tank graphics for my 74 DT360 that I purchased from Yamatopdog on EBAY. All the graphics were great with the exception of the stripes. The custom shop I took my tank to said they were cheap looking, like they were printed on a personal plotter (very pixelated) and the fit was terrible. The tank is currently at the paint shop waiting on new stripes. Its got a beautiful Geneva Green base coat but can't be cleared until we get a decent set of stripes. I could have them custom paint them but that's going to cost way to much. Does anyone have a review of Diablo's graphics? Did anyone replace graphics on a DT360a?
Thanks, Pete

I got a set of decals from Diabocycles for my Yamaha DT175. The quality was very good. The decals are much thinner than some other decal sets I purchased in the past. This makes it easier to install. They look like the originals.

I bought some for my DT400B they where to long I had to use a heat gun to try to make the fit on the curve. I wasn’t happy left messages got back to me about four days later and offered to sell me another set same as the first that didn’t fit , told me send the side I hadn’t used back and they would refund me. So I did, then they refused to refund me. eBay stepped in and refunded me I’m sorry to say I’d also bought some for my DT250MX. Wish I hadn’t there rubbish I couldn’t get the glue off without damaging the paint don’t buy them

Tank decals can be a pain but there are a few tricks.Vinyl is one of the easier ones actually. You need a spray bottle with just a drop of dish soap, a plastic spreader or credit card and some painters tape. After cleaning with alcohol lightly spray the tank with the soap bottle, take the decal leaving both top and bottom release sheets on,tape it into position on the tank using one piece of tape vertically right up the middle.lift one side of the decal and remove the release from the edge and using the spreader/cc work out the bubbles to the center stopping at the tape.cut or tear the backing off at this point.
Lift the other side, remove the tape and finish working out the rest of the bubbles from center to right side and let dry. Then remove the finish release.
Please do not ask me how we did this before vinyl.

That’s all great advice the only problem I had is the decals didn’t fit my tank, I’d say about half inch to long. Wrong is wrong and they where very wrong I think they’d used DT250 or similar and altering text and font. Won’t be buying from them again. I made some new ones that fitted properly and they fit how they should fit. Even the glue wouldn’t come off I damaged the paintwork. .jpeg[/attachment]
