Apparently, I know how to make the unobtainium decompression cable....
NOS on the left, DEET Cable on the right.

Not to try an take any business away from the maestro but I sent Barnett Tool and Engineering an NOS gray cable last year and they blueprinted replacement cables for me that they will sell. Only downfall is they are black not gray. But the price was reasonable, $39.70 ea. They actually did me blueprints for every cable on the bike, but in black of course. My plan was to use all black cables on an RT3. FAI For All your information.

I seem to recall, Charlie Lacy at
Enduro Classics, saying that
he had all of the cables, for 68-73 - in gray.
The only exception being the Oil Pump cable
in gray but the outer spring, was black.

I used some sleeving from Vintage Connections to convert a black cable to silver/gray. A couple of pieces of shrink tubing on the ends keeps it in place.

It's the front brake cable. I needed a longer one to accommodate a DT400 front hub and wheel and couldn't find one anywhere that wasn't black.
