Clutch adjustment was created by knobrega

I am completely baffled.   I can not for the life of me get the clutch cable adjusted.   It is almost like the cable is too long.   I have done the adjustment on the clutch itself and on the cable.   I have the cable all the way adjusted in and it still does not engage.   I feel like it needs an additional adjuster up on the perch but it did not come with one....   help!

I wish I could attached a picture to help explain..... but did you put in the small ball bearing along with the push rod shaft?
the push rod should be extending out of the case about 20.5mm

Another common issue is that the worm drive gear on the clutch accuator inside the stator cover is cracked and slipping every time you pull theclutch lever in.... That has happened to me many times!!

Ball bearing still in the actuator?, takes up a bit of play plus its necessary as the rod likely tries to revolve. So long as the center adjustment in the actuator is set to minimum which should in theory have the arm right down & taking up cable free play--there nothing else i can think of except cable stretch which is unlikely. I'm guessing its a JT1 & only have a lower cable adjuster thinking back 50 years. I think the worm is plastic/nylon & could split like on a DT1.
